Le Verger de la Claysse

This pretty character gîte welcomes you to the heart of the small village of St Sauveur de Cruzières.

You're in the extreme south of the département, in the land of olive trees and cicadas. Within a radius of 30 kilometers, you can enjoy a wide variety of landscapes and village architecture (Cévennes ardéchoises, Ardèche and Chassezac gorges, Cèze valley...). For longer stays, the gîte is located 40 minutes from the Cévennes Gardoises (Anduze and its bamboo grove), 45 minutes from the medieval town of Uzès and the Pont du Gard, 1 hour from Nîmes, Avignon or Orange, and 1h30 from the Mediterranean.
There's a lovely uncovered 30 m² terrace and a second, smaller covered terrace. In front of the gîte is a private outdoor space planted with trees. The bakery is 60 meters away, ideal for breakfasts with fresh bread!
The gîte is tastefully decorated by Martine, the owner and architect. It is on two levels. On the first floor, there's a sitting area and a living room adjoining a well-equipped kitchen, as well as a bedroom (bed 140) with its own private shower room and separate toilet. Upstairs, you can sleep in an attic room with 2 single beds, or in a bedroom with a 140cm bed; it also has a second shower room with WC. In summer, there's plenty of entertainment in the nearby village square. This is the ideal region for a variety of activities in the southern Ardèche: Vallon Pont d'Arc and the Grotte Chauvet2, Aven d'Orgnac, Grotte de la Cocalière. The beautiful town of Barjac, 7 minutes away, hosts a wide range of events (flea markets, festivals, exhibitions). There are 2 swimming pools in the village. You can also easily access the Chassezac river 20 minutes away, near the beautiful Bois de Païolive. In spring and autumn, it's great to discover this beautiful region on foot along the many hiking trails.
