On the promontory of Chastelas, the medieval quarter of Jaujac, the Holiday cottage overlooks the village, the river and the volcano. The views are panoramic... Le Donjon du Chastelas is a character gîte, with two terraces, the morning terrace to the east for breakfasts and the evening terrace to the west for relaxing evenings, ideal for two people... on vacation or Telework. At the heart of the Parc Naturel des Monts d'Ardèche, Jaujac is a village bustling with local producers, organic produce and a host of shops and services, including a newspaper shop, post office, restaurants and sidewalk cafés... You can stroll through the markets, swim in the river just below, go for a hike or a walk around the crater and drink from the sparkling spring... just leave your car in your private parking lot! The Thermal Baths of Neyrac les Bains and Vals les Bains are less than 15 minutes away by car, and further afield, the Grotte Chauvet2-Ardèche or the Gorges de l'Ardèche...
Restored with exposed beams and stone, combining the contemporary with the old, the Holiday cottage is bright and airy, with east-west exposure. Access is via a staircase.
For your comfort, the bed (160x200) is made up on arrival, linen is provided and end-of-stay cleaning is included!

dany formidable
idéalement situé pour la rando, le gîte d'Agnès nous a enchanté. Sa situation au sommet du joli petit village de Jaujac, le confort et la propreté, la fraîcheur à l'intérieur du gîte malgré la canicule, les 2 terrasses, les conseils avisés d'Agnès la propriétaire, tout était réuni pour un super séjour. Nous recommandons vivement le donjon du Chastelas

Claudia Wunderschöne Unterkunft in einer atemberaubenden G
Zunächst einmal vielen Dank für den wirklich schönen Aufenthalt. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber, gemütlich und vor Ort sogar noch schöner als auf den Bildern. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die freundliche und hilfsbereite Inhaberin. Ich habe mich dort zusammen mit meinen beiden Hunden sehr wohlgefühlt.
Die Wohnung war perfekt ausgestattet, insbesondere die Küche ließ wirklich keine Wünsche offen und war mehr als bestens ausgestattet.
Während meines Aufenthalts gab es jedoch nach einem starken Gewitter leider einen Defekt an der Elektrik, wodurch der Backofen etwa ab der Mitte meines Aufenthalts nicht mehr nutzbar war. Das war natürlich schade, aber höhere Gewalt und für mich persönlich kein großes Problem.
Ebenfalls unschön war leider, dass mein Auto in der Garage von einem Besucher beschädigt wurde. Der Fall ist bislang noch nicht abschließend über die Versicherung geregelt, ich hoffe aber sehr, dass sich das unkompliziert klären wird.
Der einzige größere Kritikpunkt ist aus meiner Sicht die Zufahrt zur Unterkunft. Diese ist extrem steil, beinhaltet eine enge Haarnadelkurve und die letzten Abschnitte der Straße haben große Schlaglöcher, sodass man durchaus Sorge haben muss, das Auto zu beschädigen. Hier sollte dringend etwas verbessert werden.
Die Lage selbst ist wunderschön, allerdings liegt die Unterkunft sehr hoch. Wer zu Fuß in den Ort möchte, muss entweder einen längeren Weg mit vielen Höhenmetern oder zahlreiche alte Steinstufen in Kauf nehmen, was besonders mit Hunden teilweise etwas anstrengend ist. Ich habe mein Auto meist stehen lassen, da mir die tägliche Fahrt über die beschädigte Zufahrt zu riskant erschien.
Trotz dieser kleineren Einschränkungen war ich insgesamt wirklich sehr zufrieden und habe den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. ABSOLUT EMPFEHLENSWERT!

Vine&Oli Au Chastelad
Gîte très confortable et propre, avec toutes les commodités au cœur des monts d'Ardèche. Magnifique lieu et proche des balades et des commerces. Tout peut se faire à pied. La propriétaire a été très arrangeante en nous permettant de rester un jour de plus ?, merci ?.
Les habitants de ce village de caractère sont aussi accueillants.

C'était notre troisième séjour de trois semaines dans ce gîte, et c'était encore une fois génial. Le gîte lui-même est confortable et chaleureux. Les environs immédiats peuvent toutefois s'avérer un peu difficiles d'accès pour les personnes à mobilité réduite.
