The 'La Salamandre' gîte is located in the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park, in a small hamlet 3 km from the village of Burzet.
Nestled in the heart of unspoilt countryside, it can be reached via a small, bucolic road.
It has 2 terraces, one of which is covered, both of which are ideal for meals (plancha available).
Lots of character with beams, exposed stonework and a large fireplace with wood-burning insert (€30 charge).
The bedroom (140cm bed) has direct access to one of the terraces. The bathroom has a shower and toilet (towels provided).
Electric heating. Baby equipment available on request. Parking nearby.
Although on one level, this gîte is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. This large house includes the owners' accommodation and a 2nd gîte for 3 people (possibility of renting the 2 together).
Small shops and market in the village of Burzet. This is a region with an interesting geological heritage. See the basaltic flows of the Cascade du Ray Pic, the volcanic organs at Jaujac, the Gerbier des Joncs juices or the Lac d'Issarlès. Other sites worth a visit include the Pont du Diable at Thueyts, and the listed villages of Meyras and Antraigues... Further south, Aubenas is the gateway to Ardèche Méridionale. An ideal region for fishing, hiking and cycling.
