La Maisonnette: Authenticity, Nature, and Tranquility in Southern Ardèche

Just 3 km from the charming village of Saint-Montan, La Maisonnette welcomes you to a peaceful and unspoiled setting, nestled at the bottom of a small, sun-drenched valley. Nestled among the Ardèche hills, hiking trails, and major tourist attractions, this detached cottage built of local stone is the perfect place for a vacation with family or friends.

Located at the entrance to a small hamlet, La Maisonnette features a lovely garden offering a beautiful, unobstructed view of the surrounding Forest and the Ardèche hills. You’ll enjoy a furnished terrace with garden furniture, a barbecue, and lounge chairs to fully savor the long, sunny days. At the back of the house, an outdoor water source is available for cleaning your bikes after your rides.

This detached house is laid out over two levels. On the raised ground floor, you’ll find a pleasant open-concept living area featuring a semi-integrated kitchen, a dining area, and a cozy sitting area equipped with a large corner sofa and a television. A bathroom and a separate toilet complete this level. Upstairs, the sleeping area consists of three bedrooms: one with a 140 cm bed, one with two 90 cm beds, and the third with 90 cm bunk beds. Young and old alike will also enjoy the mezzanine upstairs, a cozy space perfect for relaxing, reading, or playing together.

Starting from the holiday cottage, enjoy numerous hiking trails, including the GR42, and discover the must-see attractions of southern Ardèche: the Ardèche Gorges, Pont d’Arc, Chauvet 2 Cave, Aven d’Orgnac, and Saint-Marcel-d’Ardèche Cave. Between charming villages, renowned Vineyards, and day trips to the neighboring Drôme and Gard regions, there are plenty of opportunities for exploration. Families will also enjoy the Ferme aux Crocodiles in Pierrelatte, a wildlife park unique in Europe.
