La Magnanerie du Mas d'Aval

Located between the Ardèche Gorges and the Ardèche Plateau, on the edge of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park, the holiday cottage is situated 3 km from the medieval town of Largentière. Overlooking the southern Ardèche, the Mas d’Aval—a centuries-old hamlet—spans four hectares on the hillside. You’ll be charmed by its architecture, its old stone walls, its traditional thatched roofs, and its magnificent view... It consists of three adjoining silkworm-farming farmhouses, one of which we have converted into the “La Magnanerie du Mas d’Aval” holiday cottage. While taking care to preserve the authenticity of the site—with sandstone floor tiles and lime plaster—we have retained the original floor plans as much as possible to create particularly spacious rooms. To further enhance your comfort, we paid special attention to the choice of materials used during the renovation.
The holiday cottage also features a pleasant Piscine where you can cool off from June through September.
You’ll enter the holiday cottage via a stone staircase, which also leads to a beautiful covered terrace where you can enjoy breakfast overlooking the garden. You’ll have a cozy living room with a wood-pellet stove, TV, and a living area with a fully equipped kitchen. The first bedroom is spacious and features a 160-size bed (with the option of two additional sleeping spots in Bunk beds). The second bedroom has a 140-bed. A bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet is located on the same level, as well as a second separate toilet. Upstairs, you’ll find a loft bedroom with a 140-bed (with the option of two additional 90-beds). Sheet and towel rentals are available upon request. Bags of wood pellets are billed on-site. A gas plancha is available for use.
