La Fontaine

If you're looking for a quiet place to get away from it all, La Fontaine is the place for you.

Come and discover the gîte La Fontaine, nestled in the hills above Désaignes, a small village in the Ardèche region that has been awarded the "Village de Caractère" label. The building, in which the owners also live, is set in an estate combining chestnut forests and meadows. The gîte has a small private terrace and independent access. From the shared garden, located below the house and accessible by a staircase, admire the magnificent panorama of Désaignes and the Doux Valley. Serenity and relaxation guaranteed.

This pleasant 41.8 m² apartment is simple and functional, and can be reached by descending ten or so steps (staircase not suitable for people with reduced mobility or for the very young). It comprises a bright living room with fully-equipped kitchenette, dining table and sitting area with sofa, two armchairs and TV. Lovely views of the Ardèche mountains from the windows. Enjoy rejuvenating nights in the large adjoining bedroom with 180° bed. For those inspired by these beautiful landscapes, a piano is available in the bedroom. Finally, there's a small bathroom with shower, washbasin and WC.

During your stay, don't miss a visit to the medieval village of Désaignes. A farmers' market is held here on Friday evenings from April to October: ideal for discovering local produce (picodon, chestnuts, etc.). You're in the Parc Régional des Monts d'Ardèche, where numerous hiking trails await you, unless you prefer cycling along the Dolce Via. And if you want to cool off, why not take a dip in the Plan des Salins.

For a light-hearted vacation, bed linen is provided, beds are made up on arrival and cleaning is included. Access to the owner's washing machine on request.
