Beautiful, unusual home in the heart of the medieval village of Saint-Marcel d'Ardèche.

You'll immediately fall in love with La Clé de Voûte gîte, set in a pre-Napoleonic building and 13th-century tower. The owners have managed to respect the architecture and soul of the place, preserving the volume and character of the old building. The different levels and staircases create a feeling of fluidity.

The first level features a spacious, well-equipped kitchen with air conditioning. Three steps lead up to a magnificent vaulted room, furnished with a wooden table and sitting area. The ideal place to meet up and share convivial moments. Upstairs, you can enjoy a game of billiards in a small, dedicated lounge. For the night, 3 bedrooms are available, the first with a 140cm bed, the second with 4 90cm beds (air-conditioned) and the last with a 140cm bed and sofa bed (air-conditioned). Particular attention has been paid to decoration in all rooms. There are two shower rooms, one on the ground floor with separate WC and the second upstairs with WC. Finally, take advantage of the pleasant terrace on the 1st floor for a coffee at sunrise, a siesta when returning from the beach, or an aperitif at dusk.

Outside, the ramparts and cobbled streets bear witness to the history of this southern Ardèche village. Enjoy a stroll or a spot of shopping (local shops and weekly market). The entrance to the Ardèche Gorges is less than 10 km away, where you can relax and enjoy a change of scenery: swimming, canoeing, hiking, etc. For something cooler, head underground to one of the nearby caves: Grottes de Saint-Marcel, Aven d'Orgnac or the famous Grotte Chauvet 2.
