Le Mas de la Chadenède is a charming place to stay, whether you're looking for a simple getaway, or to spend your vacation as a couple, with family or friends.
Sophie and Edouard welcome you for a stay "just like home", in the calm of the countryside, an ideal place to relax and unwind, but also to discover the Ardèche.
Le Mas de la Chadenède is a XVIth-XVIIth century building, recently renovated by us. If you're a lover of old stone, you're in for a treat.
This former nobleman's house is located in the commune of Lagorce, a small village typical of the Ardèche Méridionale, between the Cévennes and Provence; close to Vallon Pont d'Arc, Balazuc, Vogüe, Labeaume...
The rooms are comfortable, and the architectural volumes have been preserved.
Particular attention has been paid to the choice of materials used: stone, lime, wood, terracotta floor tiles, salvaging old materials... These materials and their natural colors give the whole a very soothing feel.
Thanks to its thick walls, this very old building stays very cool in summer; all windows have shutters.
From your room, you can admire the Forest and the surrounding hills.
To protect the environment, we have chosen not to install air conditioning.
Free WIFI is available throughout the house, so you can work or play in comfort.
If you're a gourmet who likes to discover local specialties and products, we're the place for you: All products come from organic and local producers, Sophie's cuisine will delight you, as will Edouard's bread, served fresh every day.
We offer homemade cuisine: aperitif, wine, starter, main course, cheese and dessert.
Tables d'hôtes bookable with the owner (€38 per person / €18 per Kids).
Please note: No table d'hôtes from April 15 to October 15, except for groups >6 people.

Room: Le Devès
The devès de La Chadenède, and the term devès in general, defined a parcel of woodland or land that was exclusively reserved for the herds of lords and notables. This pleasant room can accommodate 2 people with a 160cm bed, which can be converted into 2 80cm single beds. The shower room opens onto the bedroom, with a large shower and double basins. Separate WC. A kettle tray and hot drinks are also available.

The L'Ibie room is located on the 1st floor of the house. It's a cosy, bright room with a large window overlooking the garden and Forest. It has two single beds (80 x 200) that can be combined to form a double bed (160 x 200). The bathroom and toilet are private and located in the corridor outside the room. A kettle and hot drink tray are also available. The Ibie, a small tributary of the Ardèche, flows behind the hills. Lovely swimming spot.

Room: L'Ajude
L'Ajude is a cosy room on the 2nd floor of the house. The bathroom and separate toilet are located separately, in the extension of the bedroom. At your convenience, the bedding is made up of 2 beds 80 x 200, which can be made up to 160 x 200. A kettle and hot drink tray are also available. Two small windows overlook the Forest and surrounding hills; a large velux window illuminates the room. L'Ajude, the name of the small wood at the foot of the village. A great place for walks.

Edouard et Sophie accueillent des hôtes depuis maintenant 25 ans.
Passionnés par l' Ardèche et amoureux des vieilles pierres, nous avons été séduits par cette très ancienne maison( fin XVè- début XVIè), que nous avons restauré.
Vous séjournerez en pleine nature, au calme. De nombreuses balades et randonnées toutes proches vous permettront de découvrir et d'être émérveillés par notre environnement.
Nous saurons vous conseiller sur tous les sites remarquables et incontournables de notre territoire, mais également au delà.

Les propriétaires du gîte sont extrêmement accueillants, avec le sourire,
et mettent tout en œuvre pour que votre séjour se passe le mieux possible.Leurs conseils concernant les restaurants, mais aussi les visites, ont été très pertinents.La possibilité de recharger la voiture électrique est un plus,
mais au-delà de cet accessoire, nous avons été charmés par la beauté de la maison, rénovée avec beaucoup de soin et de finesse.Nous conseillons sans hésiter.
