In the countryside, on the heights of Tournon sur Rhône, opt for a soothing stay in this pretty gîte with jacuzzi.

It's in a small Ardéchois hamlet in the village of Plats, not far from the Rhône valley, that owners Florence and Nicolas, who live on site, are happy to welcome you. An old sheepfold which they have transformed into a cosy cocoon.

The Holiday cottage has stone walls on the outside. It is air-conditioned and laid out on two levels. The charm of the old house is enhanced by a beautiful renovation. On the ground floor, you'll find a large living room with a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge. The crackle of logs and the enveloping warmth of the wood-burning stove are ideal for warming up and relaxing after a day of exploring (wood supplied). Upstairs, the first bedroom has a double bed (140cm) and a sofa bed. It has a private shower room (with secondary access from the hallway). The second bedroom, with a 160cm bed, features an open-plan bathroom. Two WCs are available, one on each level. Soak up the sunshine from the terrace, and give free rein to your culinary desires with the Japanese barbecue. For even more relaxation, a SPA DE NAGE* Jacuzzi® (counter-current swimming area + jacuzzi), to be shared with the owners, awaits you in the small adjoining communal garden.

Before or after these quiet moments, take advantage of your stay to discover the lush green countryside on foot (along the GR 42) or by bike. A closed garage is available for storing bicycles. Nearby, the Train de l'Ardèche takes you on a timeless journey through the Gorges du Doux. It's also a gastronomic destination, with the Rhône Valley's most famous wine cellars and Valrhona chocolate.

Towels and sheets are included, with beds made on arrival.
