Gîte d'étape du Jal

In a restored Cévennes hamlet, farmers Clément and Christina welcome you to their farm, where they produce organic fruit, chestnuts, vegetables and beef and pork, served at their Table d'Hôte in the large dining room.
Holiday cottage Le Jal is on the Tour du Tanargue (GR de pays) and at the start of many star hikes on marked trails. Swimming in the wild La Beaume river is a 5-minute drive away.
The Holiday cottage du Jal comprises two separate buildings, Jal 1 and Jal 2, with a maximum capacity of 22 people, 80 m apart (they can be rented separately or together).
Jal 1 - sleeps 14: comprises a common room with kitchenette, 2 bedrooms for 6 and 8 people, 3 showers and 3 separate WCs. You need to bring your own sleeping bag or sheet and towels.
Jal 2 - sleeps 8: Located 80 m from Holiday cottage Jal 1, it comprises "Beaume" (room 1) = 4 people in double or single beds, 1 shower room and toilet, Handicapped access;
and "Drobie", (bedrooms 2 and 3), each for 2 people, sharing the same bathroom with separate toilet.
Rooms classified 2 épis. Beds made up and bathroom linen provided.
Dinner and breakfast are served in Clément and Christina's large dining room, with the possibility of a packed lunch for the following day.
Horses are welcome: 5 boxes or stalls and pens.
In the same hamlet, we also rent a large Ecogîte for 11 people (4 bedrooms with shower room and toilet in each room).
Since the end of 2017, an associative bakery-grocery has opened in the village, 800 m from the Holiday cottage.
