Château de Bessas is located in the heart of the village of the same name, in Ardèche Méridionale. A small village of 50 inhabitants, you'll be close to the surrounding garrigue, where you can enjoy beautiful walks, bike rides and mountain biking (cyclo Ardéchoise at the foot of the village).
A host of Hiking trails await you, and breathtaking vistas promise to leave you with lasting memories.
Our Bed and breakfasts occupy two floors of the Château, and sleep two or three people. Each has been decorated differently, but all have en-suite shower rooms, toilets, TV and reversible air-conditioning. To preserve the authenticity of the site, two of our rooms have been installed in the château's tower, where you can enjoy the view and the coolness of the original stonework.
We've given pride of place to space: a reading room, a terrace in the sun or shade, and a relaxation area by the Piscine.
During your stay, you can visit beautiful villages, sail on one of the three nearby rivers: the Ardèche, the Cèze or the Chassezac. There are many caves and Museums to visit: the Caverne du Pont d'Arc, the Aven d'Orgnac, the Château de Labastide de Virac, the Musée Daudet at La Vignasse and many others to discover on site...
On reservation, we can offer you a table d'hôte, or you can eat in the village of Bessas in one of the three establishments around the Château.

Spacious room with 160cm bed, table and other antique furniture. A fireplace, used in ancient times, is still in place... Access to the bedroom's private bathroom will delight you with its maze of jointed stone rooms.

Rounded and enriched by mysterious openings, it offers a breathtaking view that can't be described... Made exclusively of jointed stone, it features a 140cm bed for 2 people, antique furniture and fabrics in shades of green, also found in the adjoining private bathroom.

Round because it's in a tower, with whitewashed walls and a judicious mix of exposed and jointed stone. Antique furniture, a 160cm bed for 2 people, an armchair... The adjoining bathroom is in keeping with the spirit of the room.

In the yellow and earth tones of the Guarrigue region, brought to life by grouted or colored lime-rendered walls. Sleeps 2 adults in a 180cm bed (can be split into 2 single beds), accompanied by a child. The view is worth the extra few steps. Private bathroom in a corner of the room.

Magnifique séjour où nous avons apprécié la gentillesse et la disponibilité de Brigitte et Claude aux petits soins pour nous. Petits déjeuners et repas concoctés par Brigitte accompagnés des petits vins locaux de Claude. Des soirées teintées de bonne humeur et de convivialité. Je recommande sans réserve

Petit déjeuner très moyen, café sans saveur servi froid et en petite quantité en fait la cafetière est à peine remplie c est le reste des personnes qui ont pris le petit déjeuner avant !
Les confitures sont servies tous les jours, les pots sont ouverts et il y a de la confiture séchée sur le bord du pot ce n est pas très propre. Il n y a que du sucré au petit déjeuner tout le monde n aime pas ça !

Accueil moyen, que devais-je faire de plus, café à volonté je veille à ce qu'il y en ait toujours, confitures il y a quatre panières qui tournent, désolée pour un pot pas très propre, je veillerai à plus d'attention et le sucre je le traque depuis longtemps car mes confitures sont faites avec un kilo de fruits 500 gr de sucre.
