In the heart of the unspoilt mid-mountain landscapes of the Parc des Monts d'Ardèche, this is a peaceful place, ideal for slowing down and taking it easy. Lovers of hiking, mountain biking and nature sports will be able to explore a variety of unspoilt areas. Paths and trails from the gîte take you through moorland and forest to the river, or to the nearby Abbaye de Notre Dame des Neiges.
You can take the train to La Bastide-Puylaurent, a village 20 minutes away. Lakes, listed villages, outdoor activities, inns, restaurants, markets and shops are all within easy reach.
The owners live next door, and Marie and Laurent welcome you for all-inclusive stays, with underfloor heating, beds made up on arrival, linen provided (spare linen available).
Built with ecological materials, this old farmhouse with its thick stone walls is pleasantly cool in summer, and comprises a living room with sitting area and fitted kitchen, 1 bedroom with 160cm bed, 1 low mezzanine with 2 single beds (adjustable) with access via a Japanese staircase (not recommended for toddlers and PRMs), a shower room with walk-in shower and WC.
