Around the remains of the castle, stroll through the narrow streets and discover the 14th-century walled town gate, the churches of Saint-Pierre and Notre-Dame-sur-l'eau, numerous characterful buildings, the washing and ironing museum or the ancient motte coquet overlooking the Douzenan gorges.
From here, you're spoilt for choice when it comes to activities: walks in the surrounding countryside, hikes in the Saint-Pourcinois vineyards, sightseeing excursions in the footsteps of the Bourbons between Bourbon-l'Archambault, Souvigny and Moulins, discovering Vichy, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and Montluçon, a city of art and history.
In a quiet, bucolic setting, you can relax and enjoy your meals in season in front of the gîte, in a private enclosed courtyard planted with flowers.
On the first floor, you'll find a living room opening onto a fitted kitchen and dining area, and a shower room with toilet. A spiral staircase leads to the mezzanine, which has been converted into a double bedroom with a study area (baby equipment available).
Completely renovated in 2023, the gîte adjoins an uninhabited building, whose half-basement is available for parking motorcycles, bicycles or fishing gear.
The gîte is non-smoking.
Cleaning at the end of your stay, towels, electric heating and charging station are extra.
Gîte extras: Bed linen included and beds made up on arrival. Electric vehicle charging point available.

Superbe accueil par les propriétaires.
Gîte très bien aménagé à l'intérieur et un jardin fleuri magnifique au mois de septembre, le tout dans un village très pittoresque.
Une documentation à jour et classée par termes est à la disposition des vacanciers.

Claire et Christophe Gite a Verneuil en bourbonnais
10 jours passés dans un site bucolique et un gîte pensé jusqu'aux moindres détails ont fait de nos vacances dans l'Allier une parenthèse enchantée.village au calme plein de charme avec des personnes avenantes.
