Idyllic location! What if we offered you a gîte on the banks of the Saône, the Voie Bleue and fishing? All at the same time. Then La Maison des Pénicheurs awaits you.
With its mix of authenticity and modern touches, discover this haven of peace near Villefranche sur Saône.
Discover the UNESCO World Geopark. What if this playground offered you one of the most beautiful panoramas. A diversity of landscapes and architectural heritage. In short, hike along small trails and soak up all that this region has to offer. If you're looking for a little more peace and quiet, come and fish. Your hosts will be happy to give you all the information you need. And if you fancy a spot of paddling, the Colombier lake is just 3 km away.
Having visited the surrounding area, let's move on to the gîte. This house sleeps 6, with 3 bedrooms. Let yourself be seduced by the cooking piano and the fireplace in the living room with its spit mechanism. A little step back in time that will put a smile on your face. And what can we say about the outside, where everything has been designed so that everyone can find their place: under the covered terrace or under the majestic tree that will shelter you from the sun...
First floor: kitchen, living room, separate toilet and small laundry room.
1st floor: three bedrooms - one with a 160*200 bed, a second with two twin 80*200 beds, and a third with two 80*200 single beds. Shower room with integrated WC.
And if you're traveling light: utilities are included (electric heating and wood), beds are made up on arrival, and towels and table linen are provided. If you wish, you can also take care of cleaning for a fee of €60.
Connected TV (Canal +, Netflix) and high-speed WiFi. Semi-detached house with year-round rental. Private parking just above the gîte. Shared garden with view over the Saône. Enclosed courtyard.

3/5Lovely location with immediate access to walking, cycling path along the Saone river and great potential but would not recommend due to the following:
1. Fireplace was filled with ashes and smoked heavily when used probably due to unclean chimney. Old (?) and uncomfortable couch in living room.
2. Refrigerator packed with food needed to be removed for use on arrival. Freezing compartment packed with no room for use.
3. Pots and pans scattered all over the kitchen cabinets in great disorder for selection and use, many of which were in poor condition (teflon damage to pans).
4. Courtyard was not maintained (dead leaves and branches everywhere and furniture in disarray)
5. Extended yard property not maintained with overgrown weeds.- Cleanliness 3/5

3/5La maison est idéalement placée en face de la Saône. Je mettrai un bémol quant au descriptif de l’annonce. En effet, Il y a des voisins, qui vivent au dessus , dont leur entrée est placée juste devant la porte du gîte. De plus, le jardin n’est pas privatif mais à partager avec ceux ci, au demeurant fort sympathiques. En gros, si vous voulez être tranquilles et vous promenez en petite tenue, ce n’est guère possible.
