Located in the Haut Jura Natural Park, at an elevation of 920 m, near the village’s old cheese factory, the holiday cottage has been renovated in a “Chalet” style to accommodate up to 6 people, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The entrance to the holiday cottage is via an interior staircase leading to the second and top floor of the house. The holiday cottage opens into the entryway, which features a wood-burning stove, and leads to a living room, as well as a functional and bright kitchen that opens onto the living area.
You can choose from the three available bedrooms: the first has a 140-cm bed; the second has a 160×200-cm bed with a private bathroom and toilet attached to the room; and the third has two 90×190-cm single beds. There is a second bathroom with a toilet. For guests of all ages, a relaxation area accessible via a ladder is located in the attic (windowless)—an ideal spot for reading or playing games.
Electric and wood heating. The beds are made on arrival. The holiday cottage is attached to the owner’s residence. Come enjoy the peaceful surroundings or, in winter, explore the 17 km of cross-country skiing trails accessible to everyone. Downhill skiing is just 10 km away, and you won’t want to miss the dog sledding. Summer activities include numerous walks, trail runs, and hiking, as well as a variety of water sports (Swimming, Fishing, Canoeing, and more). There are also lakes to explore, such as Lake Genin—also known as “Little Canada”—with its inn, as well as Lake Vouglans and its dam.
There’s a brewery right next to the holiday cottage, LA PIVA, which brews its own beers and runs a Restaurant—on weekends only, by reservation—in a magnificent setting with a very warm welcome.
There’s also a farm-based cheese shop selling cheese directly from the farm, located 1 km from the holiday cottage. One wheelbarrow load of firewood costs 20€.

Amazing Place Mountain Retreat
We had a lovely week in Belleydoux. It had everything we needed for our stay. It would have been helpful to know in advance that the apartment was on the top floor of the house up four flights of stairs. I think it would be good to have this kind of information on the site. Even though it was very hot the apartment remained relatively cool which was bonus. There were fans available. The Wi-Fi was a little weak at times. It was lovely having the restaurant next door which we took advantage of twice. All in all we had a lovely week.

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans le refuge des petits faucons, l'accueil des propriétaires est chaleureux, ils sont à votre écoute et s'adaptent à votre heure d'arrivée et de départ avec beaucoup de facilité. On s'y sent comme chez soi, rien ne manque. Le poêle à bois et la déco lui donnent un côté chalet très douillet où l'on se sent bien après une journée de ski ou de randonnée. Le logement est spacieux et fonctionnel, impeccable, les literies sont confortables, 2 sdb qui permettent à deux couples de cohabiter en toute intimité. Le plus est l'accès au sous sol où l'on peut laver le linge, entreposer chaussures et skis. Pour finir l'environnement est très calme, nous avons pu nous reposer et profiter d'une campagne toute proche pour des balades magiques en cette saison d'hiver ! Un grand merci à Laurie et Daniel pour leur gentillesse, leur réactivité et leur sourire, nous avons été ravis de découvrir ce gîte et nous y reviendrons avec plaisir !!

Très bon accueil du propriétaire. Le gite est très cosy, et il y fait frais. Par ces temps de canicule, c'est très agréable ! Le jardin et le barbecue sont à notre entière disposition. Et les plateaux du Jura pas loin.

Le gîte est très spacieux et très agréable.
La cuisine est bien équipée, les chambres sont spacieuses. Le salon est confortable.
Le village est coquet et calme.
Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et de bon conseil.
