In the Revermont region, at the foot of the foothills of the Jura, the Holiday cottage is located in a hamlet 2 km from the picturesque village of Meillonnas. As well as being famous for its 18th-century earthenware, the village boasts a castle, a church with remarkable frescoes and old timber-framed houses with a winegrowing past... Treffort, 6 km away, is the medieval town to visit. In Bourg en Bresse, you can admire in particular the Monastère Royal de Brou and the Apothicairerie. Whether you're an avid Hiking, mountain biking, accrobranche or water sports enthusiast (stand-up paddle, canoeing, etc.), or simply in search of cultural discoveries, the Holiday cottage is the ideal starting point for all your excursions. Hiking trails start from the Holiday cottage. You're just a 10-minute walk from Col de France, and now let's get to know your future vacation destination. Step through the door and let yourself be enveloped by the charm of this old family farmhouse, totally renovated to accommodate up to 6 people. A single-storey Holiday cottage with a shower room and separate WC, adapted for people with reduced mobility. Exposed beams and stonework give the Holiday cottage a warm, rustic feel, with a modern touch. The large, bright kitchen, open to the living room, is designed to encourage sharing, and the Holiday cottage has two beautifully decorated bedrooms, offering a perfect balance between natural materials and modern touches. One bedroom has a 180cm bed or two 90cm*200cm beds, while the other has a 180cm bed or two 90cm*200cm beds and two 90cm*190cm bunk beds. In the sunny courtyard, come and share a meal, a moment of relaxation or play and enjoy this green valley. Heating included. Underfloor heating and radiators in the bedrooms. Dagmar & Klaus Im Juni im Vallon de France
Wir waren Mitte Juni für eine Woche in Meillonnas. Der Ort eignet sich sehr gut um den angrenzenden Jura und die Ain-Stauseen, wie auch Kultur in Bourg (Monastère Royal de Brou), Macon und Lyon (leicht erreichbar mit dem Zug ab Bourg) zu erkunden. Der Ort selbst verfügt über eine exzellente Bäckerei und zwei wirklich gute Restaurants (Brechets *** im le Revermont, die Dessertplatte **** in der Vieux Auberge). Er hat einen netten Park und sehenswerte Fresken in der Kirche. Für Käsefreunde sind die Fruitières in den umliegenden Dörfern (z.B. in Drom) ein Muss!
Die Gîte du Vallon liegt etwas außerhalb des Ortes, ganz am Ende der Route Gabriel Voisin mitten im malerischen Vallon de France. Fußläufig braucht man eine knappe halbe Stunde ins Dorf, optimal ist ein Fahrrad. Die Gîte liegt neben dem alten Haus der Gast-Familie, ist aber unabhängig. Die Gîte wurde kürzlich komplett renoviert und ist sehr gut isoliert. Trotz extremer Hitze war es im Haus angenehm kühl! Sie ist modern, aber gemütlich eingerichtet, sehr geräumig angelegt und eignet sich ggf. auch für Rollstuhlfahrer. Betten und Ausstattung (auch der Küche) sind sehr gut. Außerhalb gibt es einen großen Esstisch und div. Gartenstühle. Hinter dem Haus fand sich im Schatten bis zum frühen Nachmittag ein kühles, ruhiges Refugium.
Die Gast-Familie (Blandine und ihre nebenan lebenden Eltern) haben uns einen sehr netten Empfang bereitet. Wir bekamen eine kleine Einführung in die Imkerei und auch ein Glas des hervorragenden Honigs. Bleibt zu erwähnen, das Blandine und insbesondere Ihr Vater ganz gut Deutsch verstehen und sprechen!
Die Gîte du Vallon ist ein hervorragender Platz für einen Aufenthalt in den Ausläufern des Jura!

Coxchant tout ce qu'il faut pour être heureux
Gite spacieux et très agréable, très fonctionnel, joliment rénové dans le respect des matériaux. Au calme au bout d'une petite route, directement sur le GR 59, idéal pour les marcheurs et les amateurs de calme et de nature. Intérieur, extérieur, équipement, literie, accueil, tout est parfait.

BOURGEOIS Silence, nature et douceur de vivre
Nous avons passé deux nuits agréables (23 et 24 mai 2025), reposantes dans ce gîte plein de charme, niché au cœur de la campagne. Le beau temps avec températures agréables, le calme absolu et l’environnement paisible nous ont permis de nous ressourcer pleinement, loin du tumulte du quotidien. Le gîte est sobre, confortable, très propre. Un grand merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueil chaleureux, leur gentillesse et leur disponibilité. Une belle parenthèse que nous recommandons les yeux fermés !

Tatie Vacances avec les petits enfants
Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine avec nos deux jeunes petits enfants. Blandine nous a accueilli avec gentillesse dans son gîte très bien aménagé, spacieux et confortable . L environnement est très calme et bien situé pour visiter le Revermont. Nous y reviendrons volontiers.
