LA DOLOREANNE

A beautifully restored old house, in a quiet location close to all amenities, with every comfort and a magnificent swimming pool. A strong environmental approach: zero waste, organic breakfast, local, French products.

In the heart of Saint-Didier-sur-Chalaronne, close to an old mill housing several apartments, you'll find La Doloréanne, a quiet, secure property at the end of an alley. Danielle and Stéphane offer 5 bed and breakfast rooms, including 4 in their charming old home and a new, totally independent apartment opposite. An outside staircase leads up to a private terrace. From here, a separate entrance leads to a small hall with the first 2 rooms on the 1st floor: "Stand-by me", with 3 beds 90x200, and "Jailhouse Rock", with a bed 160x200 and a bed 90x200.
A contemporary wood and metal staircase leads to the 2nd floor, where you'll find two further bedrooms: "Happy Day", with a 160x200 bed and two 90x200 beds on the small platform, and "Bohemian Rapsody", with a 160x200 bed. The last bedroom, "l'Appart'", is on the ground floor. on the first floor, features 4 beds 90*200, two of which can be combined to form a king-size bed in the master bedroom. What's more? 60 m² just for you, with a private kitchen and dining room. All rooms have a semi-open shower room with separate WC. In fine weather, you can enjoy the owners' heated saltwater swimming pool, and the terrace for breakfast.

A selection of local cheeses and charcuterie, homemade spreads, Countryside bread and salads with seasonal vegetables, and a comforting velouté in winter, are available for sharing. Price: 28 euros for two people. Reservations must be made 48 hours in advance, and each room has its own location in the secure, private parking lot. A closed garage is available for motorcycles and bicycles. You can stroll around the 2700 m² garden. The house is less than a kilometer from the Saône river and the Voie Bleue. The Piscine is open in high season from May to September. Late arrivals on request.
