Choose from our selection of gîtes, chambres d'hôtes, group gîtes, children's gîtes and campsites of the Bas-Rhin and Haut-Rhin, situated in the countryside or in town. Legend has it that Lois XIV once exclaimed "Alsace, what a beautiful garden!"
With the pink sandstone of the Vosges and the small lakes of the Sundgau, Alsace has always been able to please the most demanding of visitors. You have a large choice of activities from which to choose; you can explore some of the old castles and wander over the forest-swathed humps and troughs of Alsace, take the Romanesque Route and marvel at the valleys and crests of the Route des Crètes, as well as sampling some its famous wines on the Route des Vins, Munster cheese on the Route des Fromages or local fish the Carpe Frite (fried carp) route.
This is a land of a thousand environments. Stroll round Colmar or along the quays of Wissembourg; take to the mountain roads or visit a wine cellar in Riquewihr; patronise the winstub in Strasbourg or make merry in the various village fêtes: everywhere you will find the same subtle harmony and friendliness that, for centuries, have created one of the most balanced ways of life one can find. You will soon realise that this is an attractive region whatever the season.
