Unesco-listed Place Stanislas was built in the 18th century under the direction of architect Emmanuel Héré, at the behest of the Duke of Lorraine Stanislas Leszczyński, father-in-law of Louis XV. It is a remarkably renovated treasure trove of classical architecture.

French Art NouveauEcole de Nancy Museum
It's one of the few Museums in France to showcase Nancy's Art Nouveau. In the former property of Eugène Corbin, a patron of the Ecole de Nancy, you'll admire glassware with over 400 pieces by Emile Gallé, the famous Nancy ceramist, as well as furniture, stained glass and ceramics by the artists of this school, in a contemporary setting.

More than 12,000 plant speciesJean-Marie Pelt Botanical Garden
Awarded the Jardin remarquable label in 2004, it is one of France's largest botanical gardens, with over 12,000 plant species and 2,500 square meters of tropical greenhouses. This living botanical museum is an educational setting for a family outing. Rare plants such as carnivorous plants and tropical ferns are on display.

The work of Germain BoffrandLunéville Castle
An 18th-century palace, the "Versailles of Lorraine" was the brainchild of Duke Leopold I. It was embellished and enlarged by Stanislas Leszczyński, Duke of Lorraine. In the course of its history, it has suffered so many fires that it is said to be cursed. But it takes more than that to discourage visitors!

The Pierre-Percée Lakes offer a wide range of water sports and leisure activities.
