This house was built by Gabriel-Marie Kernévez, royal notary, tabellion and note keeper of Pluguffan in 1747, in the heart of the countryside, on land with a slight slope to the west. It is surrounded by parkland to the north and west. At 270 years old, it offers perfect peace and quiet. Its south-facing location was carefully chosen by the notary. Its twenty-year-old ornamental garden is home to numerous varieties of plants, flowers, shrubs and trees, and offers an infinite palette of colors, as the Breton climate allows them to flourish. The house is composed as follows: on the first floor, a large living room with two large fireplaces on either side of the living room and dining room, a kitchen with a central island illuminated by a large bay window; on the 1st floor, the staircase leads to 2 large bedrooms with double 160 beds and bathrooms, and on the 2nd floor, 2 bedrooms with 2 single 90 beds and a shared shower room.
Eighteenth-century granite manor house with 60cm thick walls, set on 3 levels in a natural N zone. First floor: kitchen, 60m2 living room with sitting area, laundry room and wc. 1st floor: 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed (160x200) and ensuite shower room, bathroom, wc. 2nd floor: 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds (90x200), bathroom + shower, wc. Lovely 6,600 m2 garden with trees, 5x10 m heated swimming pool shared with the owner (open from June to September, temperature 25°C), playground for Kids, parking, bicycle shed, etc.
A Yamaha 1/4 grand piano, located in a nearby auditorium, is available to pianists staying at Kerbaskiou. Kerbaskiou is also a cultural venue with a film club once a month, an auditorium for private concerts and an exhibition hall for the visual arts twice a year.

En tant qu'architecte j'ai pu rénové les granges pour un faire un lieu de vie confortable et créer un lieu culturel en plein campagne avec un auditorium et une salle d'exposition. Ma mission est de dynamiser au travers d'actions culturelles cinéclub , concerts , exposition , conférences un territoire rural et pour créer du lieu social.

Jesse Wonderful relaxed rural gite
We had a wonderful time at Kerbaskiou. The house is incredibly beautiful but also very easy to live in. Gardens are really tranquil and large and the pool was wonderful. The setting and character of the house are remarkable but it is also very relaxed (hammocks in the gardens and walks into the countryside straight from the house). A great mix for a family with active kids and teenagers.
Jean-Pierre was a lovely host - really helpful and informative, with fantastic local knowledge, and a very welcoming approach.
We really enjoyed the beaches (recommended by Jean-Pierre), the markets and music we encountered. The mix of surf beaches and snorkelling and swimming coves, plus quieter roads, markets and coastal paths and gentler pace made for a wonderful holiday.

Berlin Belle grande maison avec jardin grand et piscine
La maison est joliment meublée, les lits sont très confortables et la cuisine est extrêmement bien équipée. Le jardin est immense et il y a tant à découvrir. Nos enfants ont adoré leur séjour, et nous aussi.
Le propriétaire, Jean-Pierre, habite à côté et est toujours disponible pour des conseils. Jean-Pierre est artiste et nous avons eu la chance d'assister à un vernissage, avec un concert de piano. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié.
Vous partagez la piscine et le jardin avec le propriétaire et ses visiteurs.

Famille Nation Belle maison spacieuse avec un jardin luxuriant
Nous avons apprécié Kerbaskiou qui offre un environnement propice au repos : le gite est confortable, décoré et bien équipé. Les chambres sont spacieuses et chaleureuses. La cuisine dispose d'un plan de travail qui donne sur le jardin et sa piscine. Le propriétaire accueille personnellement et partage ses meilleures adresses : fermes et producteurs bio, visites, expos...nous avons pu bénéficier du grand silence propice aux nuits paisibles et aurions pu profiter encore davantage de la piscine si le soleil avait été plus présent. Nous recommandons ce gite proche des villes d'intérêt (Locronan, Pont-Aven, ...) mais aussi des plages.

Mollie Wonderful, relaxing stay
The host was very welcoming and extremely helpful in advising about the area. The gite is a beautiful, old property and does have some charming quirks. The pool was lovely and there are comfortable lounges to sit in. There are a number of seating choices around the property. A car is recommended as it's around a 10 - 20 minute drive to shops, beaches and some beautiful towns. The closest beach was gorgeous, great for surfing or body boarding, parking was easy and free! It was a very peaceful place to stay and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
