Between "City and Countryside," nestled among the idyllic Vineyards of the Haut-Mâconnais, just a stone's throw from local amenities! An authentic, characterful winemaker's house built in 1753 — featuring a pleasant, intimate enclosed garden with a beautiful 7x3.5m swimming pool — has been very carefully restored into an elegant, charming holiday cottage with a contemporary feel, nestled in a quiet setting just a stone’s throw from the vineyards in a peaceful and picturesque little Burgundian wine-growing village, steeped in history and perfectly preserved, 5.5 km from the charming gastronomic town of Tournus, renowned for its world-famous abbey site (all shops and services, including supermarkets, numerous sports and leisure facilities, and a river Marina on-site). Set in the heart of the gentle, rolling wine-growing countryside (largely protected as “Natura 2000” zones and ZNIEFF areas for its rich ecosystems), nestled in a sublime natural setting that combines vineyard-covered hillsides, fields, wooded meadows, and beautiful wild forests, overlooking the Saône Valley from the foothills of the Southern Burgundy Massif (a vast wilderness area to explore on foot or by mountain bike). An exceptionally prime location along the Romanesque Church Trail and various marked hiking trails, including several “green walks” (a vast network of similar hiking trails winding through Vineyards and the great outdoors, waiting to be explored in the region) and the renowned GTM mountain bike trail, certified “VTT FFC” (Grand Tour of the Southern Burgundy Massif, connected to a vast network of similar mountain bike trails crisscrossing the massif in a “star” pattern), adjacent to the “Burgundy Wine Route,” which is extended by the “Route des Grands Vins,” 1 km from the GR76, which runs alongside the famous GR “Chemin de Cluny” (ViaCluny) as well as the legendary “Chemin des Moines” (which once connected the abbeys of Cîteaux and Cluny), 2 km from the “Cycloroute 71” (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire by bike), 6 km from the Voie Bleue (running along the banks of the Saône), which runs alongside the Voie Verte of the “Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud,” and 16 km from the renowned Mont-Saint-Romain downhill mountain bike trail. A prime location in the heart of the Mâconnais region (and its famous Chardonnay AOCs), at the crossroads of the Ain, the Tournugeois-Clunisois (designated a “Pays d’Art et d’Histoire”), and the Bresse Bourguignonne, not far from the vineyards of the Côtes Chalonnaises, the Beaujolais, and the world-renowned Côtes de Beaune and Hautes Côtes de Beaune. Ideal for exploring the surrounding area (A6 highway 6 km away): 10 km from Lugny (“the little capital of the Haut-Mâconnais,” home to the leading producer of Burgundy wines and a renowned tree-top adventure park), 11 km from the medieval town of Brancion, 12 km from the rare Truchère Nature Reserve (a remarkable protected ecosystem), 12 km from Cuisery (listed among France’s very exclusive 8 “Villages du Livre”), 17 km from Pont de Vaux (a Marina on the Saône), 17 km from the Blanot Caves, 26 km from the medieval village of Saint-Gengoux-le-National, designated a “Cité de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté,” 29 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché train station 35 km away), 31 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 32 km from Louhans (the historic capital of the Bresse region), 33 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (designated a “City of Art and History”), 38 km from the magnificent natural gem of La Roche de Solutré, designated a “Grand Site de France,” and 44 km from Vonnas (Georges Blanc’s gastronomic village). A delightful “haven” of charm and serenity for a soothing “getaway in the Countryside”—with the added bonus of relaxing by the Piscine! The perfect “spot” for all wine lovers!

Sophie & Franck (a discerning wine lover, a passionate winemaker, a competition “taster,” and a retired wine sales agent), welcome you to a charming, authentic winemaker’s house full of character, built in 1753, meticulously restored and transformed into a cozy vacation retreat, nestled in a quiet setting just a stone’s throw from the vineyards, on the edge of a square with “old-world charm,” in the heart of a picturesque, peaceful little Burgundian village that has been perfectly preserved (featuring a 19th-century Neo-Romanesque church, beautiful traditional mansions, washhouses, and numerous carefully restored “cadoles”), steeped in history (a major site of the Wars of Religion in the 16th century). Peace and tranquility in the heart of the rolling wine-growing countryside of the Haut-Mâconnais (both urban and rural), nestled “on the lands” of the legendary “Chardonnay” grape variety in the hollow of a bucolic valley of Vineyards, fields, and meadows overlooked by the wooded ridges of the vast, wild forests that surround it (offering magnificent panoramic viewpoints), located within a ZNIEFF-protected area recognized for its rich flora and fauna. The surrounding rural setting is truly beautiful—a sublime, unspoiled landscape blending viticulture, agriculture, and unspoiled nature. A very comfortable holiday cottage converted from the former stables of the “estate” that once stood on the site. It exudes a very warm, rustic charm with contemporary touches, embodying a “countryside chic” style, enhanced by an original stone wall featuring a “vaulted arch.” The atmosphere is enveloping, soft, ultra-cozy, and inviting. Plenty of charm and character. A large, sun-exposed terrace overlooking the courtyard (pleasantly shaded in the afternoon), complemented by a spacious, sheltered terrace that’s incredibly cozy—perfectly furnished in “pool house” style —on an intimate, enclosed property that’s literally “laid out like a grid” (nestled in a “cocoon” in the heart of the historic village), very carefully landscaped with plants and flowers, flanked by a beautiful 7x3.5m pool and the owners’ garden and kitchen garden.
Layout: Holiday cottage in a semi-detached village house comprising the owners’ residence and a year-round rental unit (completely separate). Wi-Fi (fiber). Heat pump heating. Air conditioning. Laundry room accessible from outside. Single-story holiday cottage on the ground floor: living room-kitchen-dining area, bedroom (double bed 160x200 cm), bathroom (shower/toilet). Private “courtyard” terrace (gravel) + covered terrace. Shared enclosed property (400 m² / garden + courtyard). Shared swimming pool (7x3.5m) accessible during private hours from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Bike storage room. Easy, free public parking lot on the village square in front of the holiday cottage. All amenities, including supermarkets, 5.5 km away.
