Ground floor gîte in good location, helpful owner
4/5The gîte, located just outside of Ixtassou, provides a lovely view over the Nive and nearby mountains. There are many wonderful walks, either straight from the gîte, or a short drive away, and lots of picturesque villages and towns to visit in the area. Xantal checked on us almost daily to see if we needed anything, and provided tourist literature, including hiking information. The gîte offers a functional kitchen with a good cooking and eating equipment, but you will need to bring your own salt, pepper oil, etc. Bed is comfortable, although a little small is there is a tall person in the couple. Wi-Fi functioned well and a clothes drying rack was handy after using the washing machine. Due to the weather, we were unable to sit outside, but there is a table and chairs under cover, if one wishes to enjoy the view from outdoors. We were grateful for a dehumidifier and electric heater, as these were very much needed in this daylight basement apartment during a damp, chilly week. Overall, a good space with value for money, and we would choose it again.

5/5It was a lovely place to stay and very comfortable and in a good location to see the Pays Basque region. The owner was very friendly and helpful with suggestions.
We had some difficulties finding the house, so the directions could be improved. We finally used the co- ordinates to find the house.- Propreté 5/5
