Sehr gut gelegenes Ferienhaus für die Entdeckung des Landes Marennes Oléron, einem Urlaubsort, an dem sich die Geschichte der Region und die der Austernzucht vermischen. Unser Haus liegt am Cayenne-Kanal und 400 Meter von der Austernstadt und ihren Sümpfen entfernt. In der Umgebung von Brouage und seinem Sumpfgebiet, den Inseln Madame, Oléron und Aix, Rochefort, Royan, Saintes, Mornac sur Seudre, Meschers und Talmont sur Gironde, aber auch von La Rochelle bis zur Île de Ré werden Sie die Schätze der Saintonge und die Reichtümer der Charente maritime entdecken.

Natacha Charmant gîte dans une charmante région
Le gîte est charmant, au calme et décoré avec soin. La région est authentique et reposante ( en Septembre !). Mais le gîte montre quelques traces d’usure: le robinet de la cuisine branlant( mais fonctionnel), la chasse d’eau des toilettes défaillante une fois sur deux et surtout la piscine inutilisable car l’eau avait tournée! Cela dit la literie est bonne, l’eau chaude avec un bon débit et la petite terrasse vraiment agréable.

Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez passé un bon séjour. Pas d'inquiétude la fin de saison va permettre de faire les travaux de rénovation. Malheureusement la piscine a été sensible aux changements de temps et aux baisses de température brutaux

Fay Peaceful haven for two
A beautiful little, gite for two, tucked away in the grounds of the owner's charming chambre d'hote. A beautiful shared pool is available to use, which we were lucky to have sole use of, when timed right.
We had a nice welcome from the owner Alex who offered any help needed for us to enjoy our holiday.
Just a couple of things to note, parking is off site through the locked front gate, so husband had lots of toing and froing with luggage on first and last days. I use a wheelchair which we struggled to get across the gravel paths with but once at the accommodation I could get around fairly easily, although a direct path to the pool would have been the icing on the cake . To be fair the accommodation is not advertised as wheelchair friendly so I took a lucky chance.
We arrived in the early evening on a Saturday and hadn't had chance to shop so I'd advise taking preliminary supplies of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter with you as these aren't automatically provided. There was an easy to use barrista style coffee machine, microwave, oven and fridge freezer, we found the kettle after a few days as was in a high cupboard. The king size bed was super comfy, the rooms were cool and airy during very hot weather, the shutters kept any noise and sunlight out so we slept blissfully late on most days. The shower over the bath was just about accessible with help to get in and out of, and hot water in plentiful supply.
The local area has lots of nice eateries, supermarkets, bakeries, boats to lust over, typically French squares with outdoor cafes/restaurants and beautiful old church which chimes the time away.
I loved Marennes Plage which was totally wheelchair friendly, easy parking, great coffee available from beach shop, toilets nearby, paddling in the shallows.. complete bliss.- Sauberkeit

Philippe gites de charme
un excellent sejour,un joli cadre,au calme,gite bien équipé, terrasse agréable et piscine.nous sommes venus 4 fois de suite dont 2 fois en chambre d d'hotes avec des bons petits-déjeuners. les propriétaires sont aux petits soins pour la clientèle

Nous avons passé avec ma fille un super séjour. À la fois très au calme et situé non loin de l’île d’Oléron. Possibilité de pouvoir choisir de se baigner à la mer ou à la piscine.
Le gîte est très bien équipé, comme il faut, et les propriétaires sont vraiment très accueillants et chaleureux. C’était tout simplement parfait !- Sauberkeit
