Un gîte impeccable

Un gîte classé trois épis qui en mériterait quatre, tant il est bien équipé. La piscine est parfaite, l'équipement du gîte également, et l'hospitalité de la propriétaire est remarquable. Mention spéciale pour le billard, nous l'avons bien "rentabilisé" en soirée . Pour un séjour dans la région, allez-y les yeux fermés !

Séjour au top

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour en famille. Nous recherchions exactement cette configuration : 2 gîtes indépendants mais proches et partageant une même piscine qui soit protégée pour les enfants. Les jours de beau temps, nous nous baignions ou partions en visite, et les jours de pluie nous avons su profiter des jeux : billard, babyfoot, ping pong... Le gîte a tout ce qu'il faut. Literie confortable. Environnement très calme. Les plus matinaux d'entre nous entendaient l'autoroute qui est proche, mais le matin et la nuit seulement. Nous avons eu la jolie surprise de pouvoir déguster des cookies faits maison à notre arrivée, merci aux propriétaires !

Gîte l'Erable à Semoussac

Après une première impression très positive à l’extérieur du gîte, nous avons eu droit à un accueil extrêmement chaleureux des propriétaires ; L’intérieur n’a pu que renforcer notre première impression : très fonctionnel, propre, décoré avec gout, literie de qualité, et, en plus, une salle de jeux très appréciée ; Le mobilier extérieur, comme la literie est de d’excellente qualité.
Nous sommes venus à 4 couples d’amis, et tous ont été unanimes sur ce jugement.
Cerise sur le gâteau, nous avons bénéficié d’une semaine de très beau temps

Top quality gite with so much to offer

This gite was really an excellent find for us. We were warmly welcomed, and the owners were just around the corner - offering a quick solution whenever we had a question. The gite has a lot to offer. It is spacious, with plenty of options whether you wish for quiet time or social time. We were 8 in the gite - 4 older teenage children, ourselves and one set of grandparents, with the other pair not too far away. Very well equipped kitchen allowed us to easily cater for those big family meals. BBQ facilities looked good too - but we just didn't feel the need.

The teenagers and adults alike enjoyed the table tennis, table football and pool table. The big private garden space for relaxing in the sun or the shade was great - plenty of good outdoor seating options and parasols. It was easy to share the pool with the residents of the second gite too.

Quick access to shopping (in Mirambeau and Jonzac) and easy reach of Royan, Saints, Cognac and Bordeaux for longer adventures. We went over the Royan, ferry to Soulac-sur-Mer to swim in the Atlantic, visited the abbey at Fontdouce for the "acrobranche" trails in the lovely forest and enjoyed waveboarding on a lake near Royan.

The trails and lanes in the lovely countryside around the gite made for great walking and cycling through the woods, forests, vineyards and orchards and fields, with plenty of animal and bird life to see (both in the wild and in the farms). For a change of scene a couple of the bike rides visited to the flatlands boarding the Gironde estuary - beautiful views on the way down, but it is always uphill to get home!
