Une jolie petite maison très "cosy"

Accueil très sympathique . Un gite en milieu rural très agréable, original , au milieu des vaches et des moutons. Assez bien situé pour parcourir cette belle région riche en centres d'intérêt. Un village assez proche pour se ravitailler au quotidien . Nous avons bien aimé notre semaine de séjour à "la petite boulange".

un agréable sejour

Un gîte agréable, joliment agencé,bien situé, ou rien ne manque. Les propriétaires sont accueillants et à disposition des vacanciers.

Authentically pretty gite

The gite was really nice and well maintained and it has been sympathetically restored. The bedroom is really large with a comfortable bed. The main room downstairs is really large and comfortable with a comfy sofa and table and chairs.

Our French is very basic but an added bonus was that the tv had many channels and we could get English speaking films and tv series which was great on rainy evenings.

It is quite a way from the village of Gavray, approx 2 miles so we drove there and the village is quite small although there is a lovely little restaurant there down a side road which is reasonable and traditional.

The gite is in a rural setting has a large grassed garden.

The shower is in the bath upstairs and as the roof has sloping beams it wouldn't be ideal for anyone with mobility problems, nor would the little kitchen which had very steep steps down but it does need a handrail.

All in all the gite was lovely but if you want to cook, the kitchen is tiny so we ate out mainly.

Our host was nice and very welcoming. She doesn't speak much English and, we have little French but we all made ourselves understood very well.

The biggest problem came when dealing with the agency handling the transaction. With simple communication, it was no problem, as we used Google translation but we received a multi page communication from them outlining the contract and it was all in French. Too large to translate for us and they asked us to sign it.

I wrote back and explained that our French wasn't good enough to understand all that information and asked if they had an English speaking contract as we we didn't want to sign something that we didn't fully understand. They were really nice but they didn't have one. So we signed but it wasn't ideal.

We enjoyed our stay there. I love France and you couldn't get more French than there. It had shutters and was filled with good, traditional furniture. Often, if there are just two people staying, but this one was large and airy.

situation calme , agréable et paisible

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au calme , trés bien reçu par la propriétaire qui nous a proposé plusieurs sites à visiter . Le gite est bien situé et agréable à vivre . nous le recommanderons à notre entourage .

Bon souvenir

Très bon accueil. Le gîte a été construit par un "artiste" charpentier et aménagé soigneusement par les propriétaires. Situé non loin des commerces et des lieux à visiter de Normandie. Gavray,tout proche,est un peu la vitrine de la Normandie en ce qui concerne les produits du terroir: camembert , andouille, beurre etc..
Merci pour cette semaine très ressourçante.
