Das Innere ist ebenerdig angelegt, mit einigen Innenstufen: Wohnzimmer mit ausgestatteter Küche und Veranda, 1 Stufe zum Wohnzimmer und den 2 Schlafzimmern in Reihe (1 Schlafzimmer mit 1 Doppelbett 160cmx200cm und 1 Schlafzimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten 90cm), 5 Stufen zum Badezimmer und den separaten Toiletten. Der Außenbereich umfasst eine Terrasse mit Gartenmöbeln, einen gemeinschaftlich genutzten und ummauerten Garten. Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden gestellt. Internetverbindung über Wifi und für Telearbeit geeignet. Kostenlose und gesicherte Parkplätze inklusive. Je m'appelle Evelyne Emery, j'ai 58 ans, je suis neurochirurgien au CHU de CAEN et Professeur d'Université. J'ai deux grands enfants (Guillaume et Benoit). Je vis dans ce bel endroit historique depuis 20 ans. Un lieu qu'on respecte et qu'on valorise dans son environnement historique, calme, serein, en parfaite harmonie avec les valeurs essentielles de développement durable. J'espère que vous y vous sentirez bien.

A lovely location
5/5A great Gite. Really comfortable, with nice extra touches like throw blankets with the sofa that the kids loved snuggling under. The rooms lead on from one another so the second bedroom is accessed through the first. Not an issue at all for our family, but there are patio doors in the second bedroom onto the spacious garden which Gite users have access to, which could be used if two couples sharing.
I was a little concerned before arriving that it might feel cold in October with the front conservatory - but not at all, the Gite was lovely and warm and we had full control over heating.
We had a wonderful warm welcome by the hosts who spoke excellent English, after that we were left in private but they were on hand immediately to help solve problems.
If you have a car it’s a great location for visiting the D day beaches, monuments, castles, Mt St Michael, Bayeux, Caen and the wonderful countryside of Normandy (very close to the Cider trail!). The town of Troarn is walking distance with lots of shops and a large supermarket.

Is this the best Gite in Normandy?
5/5As soon as we arrived, we knew that we had made the right decision. The quiet setting, within the grounds of the manor, and alongside the Abbaye, offers a unique location.
The Gite is spacious and all furnished to a high standard; no doubt all chosen by Evelyne. There is good separation between all the rooms and it was a particular delight to eat in the veranda overlooking the garden and the Abbaye.

4/5A beautiful gite in beautiful and calm and quiet surroundings. We were very pleased to find there was parking at the gite as this wasn't mentioned in the details. It could be useful to include this in the details.
It could also be useful for others coming to stay to know that the bedrooms were interconnecting - which may work OK for families but less easy for 2 lots of couples who would have to go through each others bedrooms. A floor plan of the gite would overcome this.- Propreté 4/5

5/5Très beau gite situé dans le jardin du manoir, très bel environnement et très calme.
Joli gite bien décoré et bien équipé et bien situé, près de Cabourg, Caen et les plages du débarquement et du pays d'Auge.
Très bon accueil par la propriétaire et grande disponibilité si besoin.

4/5Le gîte est très bien situé à côté de l'Abbaye de Troarn. c'est très calme et reposant. Nous avons apprécié l'accueil de la propriétaire sa discrétion durant notre séjour. Elle nous a fait visiter une partie du manoir où elle réside et nous a retracé l'histoire de l'Abbaye. Nous avons aimé la confiture maison et les mirabelles du verger. Malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu profiter des transats au jardin car le temps était pluvieux. Nous avons bien profité de la véranda et du petit salon confortable.

Merci Madame pour les commentaires et nos échanges par téléphone. La pondération propreté m'a paru sévère eu égard aux détails examinés. J'ai optimisé les compléments vaisselle, j'ai rajouté une poubelle extérieure. Effectivement le temps pluvieux ne vous a pas permis de profiter de tout le site! Actuellement le temps radieux change tout et j'espère vous y revoir bientôt avec ce très beau temps.
