Opened in 1986, Amnéville zoo is a great place for a family day out. It is home to more than 360 different species from around the world including gorillas, rhinoceros and giraffes from the Plains of Africa and reptiles in the tropical vivarium. Different events are take place all year round with displays featuring birds of prey, sea lions and tigers. Children can spend a day with the keepers while very young children can feed and stroke farm animals.
It takes a whole day to see all the animals and watch the 4 daily shows. Marvel at TigerWorld, hold your breath with the champion free diving sea lions, look to the skies as the 300 birds of prey perform their aerobatic display and laugh at the parrots’ antics !

The Zoo offers plenty of ‘behind the scenes’ activities ! Get close to the animals, spend a morning as a keeper, enter the wolves’ enclosure, feed the red pandas, visit the sea lions. Live the experience !

It gives financial support to 22 conservation programmes throughout the world. And thanks to the numerous births every year, it safeguards the most endangered animals on the planet !
