Vexin Français (Parc Naturel Régional)
exin Français - history, nature and heritage
In the north-west of the Ile-de-France, Vexin Français is an area where nature, history, heritage and culture are in close harmony. From the hillsides of Epte, the natural, historic boundary with Normandy, to the leafy valleys of the Viosne and the Sausseron, from the agricultural plateau where wheat and barley sway in the western breeze to the spectacular chalk cliffs of La Roche-Guyon, this vast limestone plateau is well-known for its scenery and biodiversity. Vexin Français has retained its traditional charm of a strongly agricultural region where the harmony of the environment is strengthened by the use of local construction materials.
