Site Verrier de Meisenthal, founded in 1704
Discover the astonishing saga of the Site Verrier de Meisenthal (Glassworks) which since 1704, from Emile Gallé to contemporary designers, has been combining the magical skill of glass-making and the creativity of the greatest designers.
Today this former industrial wasteland is home to 3 structures (Musée du Verre, Centre International d’Art Verrier and Halle Verrière) and offers an all year round cultural programme which is full of surprises !

Musée du Verre de Meisenthal (Glass Museum)
The Musée du Verre presents temporary exhibitions, a rich collection of “Art Nouveau” (which includes gems by Émile Gallé who worked at Meisenthal from 1867 to 1894) and the exhibition “l’Envers du décor” (behind the scenes) which reveals the technical secrets of traditional glass-making.
Centre International d'Art Verrier
At the Centre International d’Art Verrier, discover the glass-blowing workshop, watch and listen to the craftsmen at work and visit the shop which offers items imagined by designers and made exclusively in the workshop.
Halle Verrière
Halle Verrière is an industrial cathedral which has an all year round programme of diverse cultural events (contemporary art exhibitions, modern music concerts, street art, etc).
