Place Stanislas Nancy
Place Stanislas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was built in the 18th century under the supervision of the architect Emmanuel Héré, in accordance with the wishes of the Duke of Lorraine Stanislas Leszczyński, father-in-law of Louis XV.

It is a masterpiece of classical architecture which has been remarkably renovated.
The grand pedestrianized square is paved with light ochre stones, with two lines of darker stones forming a diagonal cross motif. It is surrounded by classical buildings linked by rococo wrought-iron gates by Jean Lamour.
