Choose from our selection of gîtes, chambres d'hôtes, group gîtes, children's gîtes and campsites in the countryside, by the sea or in town, in the Loire-Atlantique, the Maine-et-Loire, the Mayenne, the Sarthe or the Vendée.
The Pays de Loire has countless surprises in store for you; from the legend of Alienor of Aquitaine to the troglodyte villages of Maine-et-Loire; from the Great Park of the Puy-du-Fou (The leading historic and ecological park in Europe) to the mysterious Brière and the castles of Pouzauges and Tiffauges, which were home to the legendary Bluebeard. Four hundred kilometres of navigable waterways will allow you to sail on the Mayenne, the Maine, the Sarthe and the Loire and discover a great number of castles, abbeys, Romanesque churches and vineyards.
Return to the Brière with its peatlands and its canals. The regional capitals also deserve a visit with the medieval neighbourhood and motor museum in Le Mans, the Apocalypse wall hanging in Angers and the Jules Verne museum and the Passage Pommeraye in Nantes.
From there you can explore the sea and the endless beaches, from La Baule to Saint-Jean-de-Monts, as well as the charm of the Ile-d'Yeu and Noirmoutier or the Océarium of Le Croisic. After sampling salmon and pike in a beurre blanc sauce or the "rillettes" of Le Mans, make sure you whet your appetite for a seafood platter and a glass of Muscadet.
