For lovers of old stones
This 18th-century house is the Ravelin gîte, overlooking the village at the foot of the castle and 13th-century ramparts. Renovated in the traditional way, with exposed beams and half-timbering, it has retained all the charm of the old stones. Heritage lovers will be won over by the region's wealth of picturesque villages, hilltop towns and impregnable fortresses, reflecting the turbulent history of Occitanie. These are known here as the Bastides Albigeoises, and are a must-see. The most famous of these is Cordes-sur-Ciel, just a stone's throw from Milhars. If you're a nature lover, grab your hiking boots and discover the Bonnan valley. In summer, when the heat is on, you can relax in the swimming pool.
Independent gîte with small private garden (300m²), terrace. The swimming pool, integrated into the remnants of the ramparts, is shared with guests from the other gîte opposite (reference G350 on Gîtes de France). First floor: kitchen, living room, bedroom (double bed), bathroom with toilet.
Upstairs: bedroom (two single beds), cot. Oil-fired central heating. Mountain bikes available. Les Gîtes du Château, two character gîtes in the heart of the medieval village of Milhars.
