Dating from 1732, this house has been renovated with passion, preserving antique doors and fireplaces and furnished with the help of local craftsmen to combine antique furniture with contemporary comfort. With a capacity of four people, the cottage is adjoining the home of the owners, without vis-à-vis. Housed in the former home of the Abbot of Soreze, it will seduce you with its hanging walled garden, its view of the Bell Tower St Martin and the foothills of the Black Mountain. Enclosed garden, large terrace terraces, garden furniture, barbecue. Living room with open kitchen, two bedrooms, each with shower room, two toilets. Sheets and towels are provided, a cleaning service is offered at the end of the stay. Depending on the period, short stays are possible (2 nights minimum). The cottage of character of the House of the abbot welcomes you all year, in the heart of the village of Soreze and the great site of Occitania " The sources of the Canal du Midi"(Soreze-Revel-St Ferreol). Village with the prestigious historical past of its Benedictine abbey founded in 754. Heritage lovers can get lost in the medieval streets of the village in the footsteps of pilgrims (step of the Way of Arles to Santiago de Compostela), visit the Abbey School, discover the Museum Dom Robert (one of masters with Lurçat de the tapestry of the 20th century) or the work of Pierre Paul Riquet, the genius designer of the Canal du Midi. Nature lovers will discover the Montagne Noire, its forests and its channel, on foot, by bike or on horseback and Lake St Ferreol 3 km. Not to mention the local markets, flavors markets in Sorèze, and the Saturday morning market in Revel, ranked among the most beautiful markets in France.
