Nestled in the heart of the charming village of Pézènes les Mines, this gîte combines modern comfort with ancestral know-how. A change of scenery guaranteed, rest or sports activities, reading or adventure, visiting or sunbathing, the choice is yours! The building dates back to the 15th century. In recent years, it has been restored in the Mediterranean style and fitted out with antique furniture. You will certainly appreciate its "cabinet of curiosities" aspect which will allow you to discover, or rediscover, heterogeneous and even unknown objects. It would have been the guard room of the medieval castle of the village which is one of the best preserved in the region. On the first level of the house, you will find a large fully equipped kitchen (traditional oven, microwave, dishwasher, small electrics, large storage space) of 30m² which will allow you to prepare meals alone or with your family. This kitchen is attached to the living room of the same size where sofas and armchairs will welcome you. Reading material and board games for young and old are available. The house has 2 bedrooms, one of which is on the first floor . - La Buissonnière", 28m², 1 double bed (160cm) and 2 single bunk beds + 1 extra bed. -  La Discrète", 13m², 1 double bed (140cm) Two bathrooms with shower, sinks and WC are available. For relaxation and/or meals, there are two spacious terraces for relaxing, sunbathing, barbecuing and for children (and adults) to play on. One of them is covered (18 m²) and offers direct access to the kitchen. It allows you to enjoy the Mediterranean climate without being too exposed to the sun. The second one (50 m²) is ideal for sunbathers and siestas lulled by the song of the cicadas. The barbecue is available. The owners' accommodation is adjoining and the stairs are shared. Your hosts will welcome you for refreshments, to give you the keys and provide information. This accommodation is not adapted for disabled people. There are no shops in the village. The nearest supermarkets are 10 km away (Bédarieux, 20 minutes). A vehicle is absolutely essential for shopping and excursions. TOURISTIC ATTRACTIONS: Nature discovery activities, ornithology, Accrobranches 5km, karting 10km, canoeing, Salagou lake (VTT-FFC area), climbing sites 15km away, Caroux mountain, hiking on the "voie verte", Mourèze cirque 15km, Héric gorges 30km, Beaches 60km.
