Cable Car LUCHON-SUPERBAGNERES closed

The gondola connecting the city of Luchon to the ski resort Superbagnères is currently under construction and therefore closed. Access to the resortis only possible with “light” vehicles. For details please refer to www.haute-garonne-montagne.com

Reminder: in the mountain zone, it is compulsory to equip your vehicle with winter tires or to have chains or snow socks (until 31/03/2023)

Stopover and group gite on the Via Garona (GR861) and the Transgarona cycle route. At the foot of the Pyrenees, in the small village of Huos, on the banks of the Garonne, the Tilia gîte is the ideal stopover for those who want to discover this rural region with its unspoilt nature and rich heritage. Hikers, pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela, cyclists and other nature lovers are welcome here for a stopover or a rejuvenating break!

Reservations are only possible on the site for the privatisation of the entire gite. For all requests for reservations for one or more people per night, please call the owners or book via the gite website (www.tiliacomminges.com).

Numerous sporting and cultural activities can be organised within a radius of thirty kilometres: fishing in the Garonne, swimming in the lake of Montréjeau, hiking for all levels, canoeing, climbing, tree climbing, skiing, local markets, discovery of historical sites such as Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges or the Caves of Gargas, relaxation... there is something for everyone! Easy access by train (Montréjeau-Gourdan-Polignon SNCF station at 1.5 km) or by motorway. Groceries can be bought on site to allow hikers to prepare a hot meal. Bakery at 1km, other shops at 2km (supermarket, organic shop, sports shop...).

A green enclosed garden is reserved for the guests of the gîte who can relax and enjoy the nice weather to eat outside (BBQ and tables available). On the ground floor: a living room with a cloakroom, a kitchenette for self-catering, a dining table and a relaxation area (fireplace, sofa, coffee table and desk). Upstairs, accessible by a spiral staircase: a small dormitory of 17m² offering 10 beds (70x190cm low beds), some at ground level, others high up, so that each person can choose the space where he or she will be best. A family room/large multi-purpose room (35m2), allows people who wish to have more privacy. It is also available for group bookings. It includes two double beds and tables for working, playing games or artistic activities... There are two bathrooms, each with a shower, separate toilet and washbasin. Wifi internet connection.

Three booking options are available:

- Self-catering gîte at 120€/night. 12€ per additional person beyond 8 people.

- Rate per bed per person per night: 18€. Possibility of breakfast at 3.5€.

- Family room rental: from 25€/person/night

Photo courses are offered by Béa, professional photographer, on the website www.tiliacomminges.com As the Tilia gîte is not yet equipped with an integrated heating system, it is only open from Easter to All Saints' Day.

CYCLING WELCOME: Bicycle room available.

MOTORCYCLE HOSTS: Béa and Steph can offer a covered shelter with a stabilised floor (slab) for parking motorbikes. Contact them for information.

The price includes: water, electricity, subscriptions.

The price does not include: cleaning: 40€, sheets: 3.5€/bed/change, tourist tax (currently 0,8€/adult/night), wood for the fireplace and coal for the BBQ.

In August: only weekly reservations, Saturday to Saturday.
