Just an hour from Toulouse, this authentic 12th-century watermill has been transformed into a charming, comfortable gîte in the heart of the Gers countryside.
The mill is listed as being of historic interest, and the park is located in a natural zone of ecological interest for flora and fauna. Once known as the "Moulin des Armitas", it has seen several generations of millers produce bread for the village of Monfort and the surrounding area.
The oldest part of the mill dates back to the 12th century, and was completely restored 30 years ago by the former owner, who called on the architectes des bâtiments de France to respect its style.
It welcomes you between tradition and modernity for a wellness getaway in an establishment full of charm and authenticity with 420 m2 of living space. The 4-hectare park and forest invite you to relax in a natural bubble disconnected from the outside world.
Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the space for jogging and walking, anglers will be spoilt for choice when it comes to finding the best spot to set up camp, while fans of natural swimming will be delighted, and readers will enjoy relaxing on the peninsula in the shade of the tall trees on a deckchair or in a hammock, with the sound of the river and birds singing in the background.
Elegant, warm and tastefully decorated, the mill welcomes you with all modern comforts.
With a capacity of 15 people, the gîte has 7 rooms equipped with hotel-quality bedding: 1 triple room (100 x 200 beds) and 6 double rooms (2 rooms with 160 x 200 beds and 4 rooms with 100 x 200 beds) as well as 4 bathrooms.
On the first floor, a spacious, cocooning living room welcomes your moments of relaxation around a wood-burning stove, and the large dining room welcomes your moments of conviviality around the table. A children's lounge with games is also available, so that everyone can find their own space and peace of mind.
Cooks will appreciate the large, light-filled kitchen, where they can whip up their own dishes while contemplating the magnificent view over the river.
Upstairs, all the bedrooms are different and personalized. For your relaxation, another mezzanine lounge is available for resting, chatting or playing games.
For your utmost comfort, bed linen, towels and household linen are provided, and end-of-stay cleaning is included.
Outside, picnic tables, garden furniture and a barbecue await you under the trees of the peninsula for moments of unparalleled conviviality, while deckchairs and hammocks will welcome your best siestas.
Situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Gascony, you can explore the surrounding bastides and villages, rich in heritage and history, stroll along the many nature trails, discover the gastronomy of the Gers region, or take a refreshing dip in one of the many leisure centers with swimming pool, water slides, lakes and beach (the nearest is 3 km from the gîte).
The Samsara Mill is the ideal place to enjoy moments of well-being in a privileged environment, and to get together with family or friends for a timeless stay. An exceptional place, ideal for a change of scenery and a serene, peaceful vacation, the mill is like a nugget in an enchanting natural setting.

Your Host
