In an 18th- and early 19th-century building, a typical Lauragais "Métairie", in the same family since 1708; a very spacious gîte with character, set in a former bakehouse. Located 3km from Castelnaudary and the Canal du Midi. A large enclosed garden adjoins. On the ground floor, a large living room/kitchen opening onto a west-facing terrace with garden furniture, sun loungers, parasol and barbecue. In the living room, a 2-seater sofa-bed. A shower room with WC and walk-in shower. Upstairs, a large bedroom with 2 single beds (adjustable to 180) and adjoining WC. And a small mezzanine bedroom with a 90cm bed. Heating by pellet stove (extra). Sheets, towels and cleaning products available. Housekeeping on request. Carport and parking in front of the gîte. Pets welcome at no extra charge. The owner, who has a passion for local history, will be delighted to give you information on the region's good restaurants, short circuits and not-to-be-missed sights.
