Le Moulin à Eau

Between Toulouse and Narbonne, a stone's throw from Carcassonne and its famous medieval city and the beautiful Lauragais plains, Le Moulin à Eau opens its doors to you for an enchanting stay! This little 17th-century jewel offers the ideal setting for a relaxing vacation, with all amenities on site.


Nearby, you can visit many of the region's treasures: the town of Carcassonne with its rich heritage, Castelnaudary, world capital of Cassoulet, the beautiful landscapes of the Montagne Noire (lakes, waterfalls, valleys), the Cathar castles of Saissac and Lastours, and Bram with its lake and water sports. If you're a lover of heritage, you'll find it in the Pays Cathare, with its abbeys, castles and medieval towns. In the village, you'll find a wide range of shops: grocery store, restaurants, tobacconist's, baker's, pharmacy...

With its lush 8,000m2 garden, the gîte promises unforgettable moments of serenity, with a beautiful private swimming pool (10x4x1.50) where you can relax on deckchairs under the southern sun. The park also features a private terrace with two large tables adapted to capacity, a grilling area with a brazier and a classic barbecue, as well as a boulodrôme for great games of pétanque with an adjoining bar - moments of conviviality guaranteed!
A children's play area (trampoline, swing) is located in the park, as well as a ping-pong table with a sandy beach and relaxing furniture for sipping a cocktail or reading in a heavenly setting. A small cottage with sleeping facilities for 2 and a kitchenette is also available.
The garden gives direct access to the Fresquel river (unfenced, supervision required for children), where you can fish or simply relax. Each part of the park offers the possibility of its own intimate comfort. An annex just in front of the gîte offers the chance to try your hand at a variety of games: darts, table soccer and a library of 50 board games.


On the first floor, the gîte opens onto an entrance hall leading to a fully-equipped, independent kitchen, a dining room with dining table and piano. A first bedroom with a 140x190cm bed and en-suite shower room (shower, washbasin, WC). Separate WC. A large laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a drying rack where the central room of the Moulin used to be. You can also store bicycles.
There are two staircases leading to the 1st floor, one via the dining room, upstairs is a bedroom with a 140x190 bed and en-suite shower room (shower, washbasin and WC), a second bedroom with a 2x90 bunk bed and en-suite shower room (shower, washbasin and WC). The second staircase from the entrance hall gives access to the first floor, where you'll find a bedroom with a 140cm bed and a 90cm bed, two bedrooms with a 140x190cm bed, each with its own en-suite shower room (shower, washbasin and WC), a fourth bedroom with a 160x200cm bed (2x80x200cm) that can be joined together or separated, with its own en-suite shower room (shower, washbasin and WC), and a final bedroom with a 90x190cm bed and its own en-suite shower room (shower, washbasin and WC).

WIFI connection. Baby equipment available on request. Pets welcome at extra charge. Oil-fired heating. Private parking for 5 cars on the estate.

SERVICES: End-of-stay cleaning of €150 is compulsory and must be paid to the owner. On request, as an optional extra, a complete linen kit (sheets, towels) for all gîte occupants at 150€.

No youth groups under 30, events or parties.
