Au Bois de Mars - Kilimandjaro

In the heart of the Montagne Noire mountain range, ideally located between Carcassonne (30 mins) and Mazamet (15 mins), the Au Bois de Mars residential leisure park is a place of relaxation, well-being and leisure. The park features a yurt, an unusual type of accommodation that will delight young and old alike. A few nights, sometimes just one, are enough to awaken the nomadic spirit that lies dormant in some of us. In winter, enchanted by the sound of the rain and the wind blowing across the canvas, we discover or rediscover the simple pleasures of a moment spent in the company of Mother Nature. In summer, the starry skies can be seen through the ring (or Tonoo) of a yurt, providing a magnificent playground for our daydreams. Our senses are awake and we can't miss a single insect or smell: it's back to basics! If you're a keen walker or cyclist, you'll be well served by the many footpaths that criss-cross the beautiful Montagne Noire. Less than half an hour from the gîte, you'll find a host of attractions, including the Passerelle de Mazamet, the Cité de Carcassonne, the Montagne Noire lakes for swimming and fishing, and the Cathar castles of Saissac and Lastours.

The Kilimandjaro yurt sleeps up to 4 people + 2 extra beds. It offers 50 m² of space, open to nature and to the sky thanks to its "Skylight" hard Plexiglas dome, also known as Tonoo. It is equipped with a 140×200 double bed, two 80×200 beds and a BZ sofa with 140×190 mattress. Lounge/dining area: table seating 6. Bathroom: large shower, washbasin and toilet. Fully-equipped kitchen: fridge/freezer, microwave, extractor fan, 4 ceramic hobs, double sink, kitchen utensils, crockery, coffee machine, electric griddle, bin bags, sponge, tea towel, washing-up liquid and cleaning products supplied. Possibility of installing a cot and borrowing a pushchair on request. The yurt has a private terrace with garden furniture where you can relax or enjoy your meals al fresco. Shared children's play area. WIFI connection. Shared barbecue. Secure private parking inside the property. Pets are welcome at an additional cost. Optional breakfast to be booked directly with the owner. Sheets, towels and end-of-stay cleaning are optional.
