Mont-Ventoux
Mont Ventoux - a 1,912 metre giant.
The vine-clad foothills give way to forest followed by a lunar landscape topped by a red and white aerial like a candle on a cake.
This ‘bald’ mountain which dominates Provence has given its name to local wines, truffles, cherries from Monts de Venasque, strawberries from Carpentras which are produced on the land at its feet, from Vaison-la-Romaine to Carpentras, from Bedoin to Sault. In summer, the Ventoux area is a sea of blue from Sault to Aurel from the lavender fields which extend in all directions from the giant’s feet !
Mont-Ventoux, an adventure playground for families

Enjoy the clean mountain air while taking part in some of the many activities on its slopes including walking, cycling, trail-running, paragliding, kite flying and fun family activities like ‘dévalkarting’, horse riding, bouncy castles, pony rides, forest trails, not forgetting quiet places to relax in peace.
Walking and hiking enthusiasts have plenty to do as several GR hiking paths run up, down and around the 26,000 hectares of Mont-Ventoux.
Agnès, owner of « Les Secrets de Cézanne » gites and B&B at Mazan, recommends a night-time walk to watch the sunrise from the top of Ventoux.
…and it goes without saying that Mont-Ventoux is a paradise for cyclists !
