What to see and do in Portes de Champagne
Follow the Route Touristique du Champagne to explore the wine-growing area, its little villages, churches and abbeys… a landscape which is changes with the seasons. There are five discovery trails full of sparkling surprises and delicious encounters. Don’t hesitate to stop to admire the amazing views or discover the secrets of ‘bubbly’ at one of the many wine cellars.
Visiting Portes de Champagne
Take time to meet the wine-growers responsible for this noble art ‘à la française’ and listen attentively to what they have to say. An unforgettable experience ! Several footpaths and cycle tracks run through the wine-growing area, an alternative way to discover the three types of grape and talk to growers tending the vines. During the grape harvest the whole area is a hive activity from the vines to the wine presses.
