Dieppe – a seaside town and the nearest beach to Paris
The oldest seaside resort in France and the number one yacht marina in Normandy, Dieppe is the nearest beach to Paris (accessible in under 2½ hours). During his journey into space, Thomas Pesquet, who comes from the town, appointed himself ambassador for Dieppe.
A lively seaside resort, Dieppe has a lot to offer visitors : a casino right by the sea, superbly designed golf course on the cliffs, race course and ‘Les Bains’ aquatic complex and thalassotherapy centre as well as shops, fish and seafood restaurants. Resolutely centred round the sea, Dieppe is great for swimming and watersports, sailing, boat trips and sea angling trips.
Don’t miss the beaches of Pourville, Varengeville, Sainte-Marguerite and Quiberville-sur-Mer between cliffs and ‘valleuses’.
What to see and do near Dieppe ?
Not far from Dieppe, visit the parks and ‘remarkable gardens’ of Bois des Moutiers at Varengeville, Vasterival at Sainte-Marguerite, the vegetable garden at the Château de Mirosmesnil and Parc William Farcy at Offranville.
