Chaîne des Puys-Faille de Limagne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
The Chaîne des Puys-Faille de Limagne is one of the 44 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in France. It was the first natural site on mainland France and the fourth in all of France to gain this prestigious status.
Auvergne is extremely proud of this international distinction, the result of 11 years of hard work and patience, which gives the Chaîne des Puys – Limagne Fault Techtonic Arena protected status.

If you prefer to relax and admire the scenery at the height of the summer heat or in autumn, there are some lovely lakes in the region like Lac d’Aydat.
