Situated on the borders of Anjou, Touraine and Poitou, you will have the privilege of being very close to some of the most majestic sites in the history of France. The Royal Fortress of Chinon where Joan of Arc met the King is just 12 minutes away. The splendid town and its château are a must-see. The Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, the largest monastery in Europe, is around 20 minutes away. The confluence of the Vienne and Loire Rivers provides a magical viewing point in Candes-St-Martin, one of the 'Most Beautiful Villages in France' in the direction of Saumur, famous for its château and Cadre Noir riding instructors.
