L'Orée du Val gîte is large 19th century house very close to Fontenay Abbey (UNESCO World Heritage site). Ideal for peaceful holiday with family or friends. Raised ground floor: large fitted kitchen/dining room (wood-burning stove), lounge (sofa bed, flat screen TV, hi-fi), shower room, WC, bedroom (queen-size bed) with shower room/WC. 1st floor: small bedroom (2 single beds), little landing (reading/games area), large bedroom (queen-size bed). Included in rent: oil-fired heating, firewood. Parking. Pleasant fenced garden (approx. 2,000 sq.m.) with outdoor furniture, BBQ, deckchairs.|Shops/services, railway station, water sports centre at Montbard (7km). Tourist attractions in the Auxois: Buffon ironworks, Canal de Bourgogne, Alésia MuséoParc, medieval villages of Semur-en-Auxois and Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, châteaux of Epoisses and Bussy-Rabutin. Close to Yonne department and château of Ancy-le-Franc. Lots of hiking/riding trails in this area ideal for outdoor, eco-friendly tourism.

5/5Wir durften in dieser sehr liebevoll sanierten und bestens ausgestatteten Gites einen wunderbaren Osterurlaub verbringen. Die Herzlichkeit unserer Gastgeber war ein sehr besonderes Erlebnis, für das wir sehr dankbar sind. Das L'Orée du val ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, liegt sehr günstig für die Besichtigung vieler historischer Sehenswürdigkeiten, ist sehr ruhig gelegen und von einem wunderbar weitläufigen Garten umgeben. Ein Ort, an dem man sich wohlfühlen und entspannt Urlaub machen kann. Wir können dies Unterkunft sehr empfehlen, sei es für Paare oder Familien.

4.8/5Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour et aurions aimé avoir plus de temps pour en profiter. Il est bien localisé, et il y a des sites très chouettes à visiter à proximité. Le gîte en lui-même est rénové avec goût et propre. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et accueillants.

4.3/5Gîte bien aménagé et décoré, récemment rénové tout en gardant le cachet de l'ancien (anciennes cheminées, parquet...)
Très bon accueil, propriétaire de très bon conseil et arrangeant.
De belles balades dans l'environnement très proche (vallon de Fontenay, juste magique) et de nombreux monuments et sites à visiter dans un rayon de quelques 10aines de kilomètres.
