Large family house (built 1886) with exposed stone walls in peaceful
hamlet in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. Ground floor: dining room with open-plan
fitted kitchen, large lounge (wood-burning stove). Extension with games room
for children and open-tread stairs up to bedroom for 4 people (queen-size bed,
2 single beds). Bathroom, WC. 1st floor of house (traditional staircase): 2
bedrooms (double bed, closet) (single bed, closet), 2 communicating bedrooms (2
single beds) (fold-down double bed), shower room/WC. Ideal lay out for 3
families holidaying together! Included in rent: bed linen, cleaning at end of
stay. Oil-fired heating (fixed daily charge), electricity (charge based on
meter reading). Firewood provided. Fenced grounds with parking for 2 cars (2
other parking spaces in street). Terrace, partly above-ground swimming pool
(7.5x4m, 1.15m deep) with wooden surround, open May to September, depending on
weather. Vegetable plot and pizza oven.
Arrivals/departures only possible Fridays to Mondays.
In surrounding area: many wine tasting cellars nearby. Beaune, capital
of Burgundy wine, with its famous Hospices (UNESCO World Heritage site).
Renowned wine villages such as Pommard, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Volnay
... Cycle track between Beaune and Santenay. Beaune, côté Plage: 14,000 sq.m.
of beaches, 4 natural swimming pools.

    Lhôte, Thierry est sympathique et flexible et nous a donné des idées de visite de randonnées intéressantes.
    Mais
    Le canapé n'est pas confortable, certains lits non plus.
    la vaisselle est adaptée mais le matériel de cuisine est très insuffisant et pas adapté pour 10 personnes, notamment il manque des cocotes pour de grandes capacités.

    Je viens rajouter une marmite de plus grande capacité.
    Les matelas seront changés dès le début de la saison
    Je trouve juste dommage que vous ne m'en ayez pas fait part lors de votre départ.

    Communication with the owner was excellent.One room was a bit gloomy as it had a very small window. However, it did not bother much, since it was only for sleeping.

    Le gîte est très bien situé et l'accueil du propriétaire est très chaleureux !
    En revanche il nécessite des travaux pour améliorer la qualité des aménagements intérieurs et des réparations sur la terrasse extérieure.
