On the Route du Crémant, renovated stone house on the upper floor of a wine estate and the former 16th-century château farm. Spacious living room with fitted kitchen, dining room and sitting room. Shower room with WC. Upstairs: large open-plan bedroom with one 160cm bed and two 90cm beds.
Parking in the communal courtyard and a relaxing area with garden furniture in fine weather. On arrival, the winemaker-owners will be delighted to invite you to a Crémant tasting in their cellar.
Nearby: the Musée du Châtillonnais with the Vix vase, the Sources de la Seine, the Crémant route... 10 minutes from the Riel-les-Eaux lake. Numerous forest walks, near the National Forest Park. Maison de la Forêt in Leuglay and tree-climbing. Champagne region just a few kilometers away. Nigloland amusement park 45 minutes away.
Bed linen and cleaning included. Charges and extras : Bathroom linen: €5 per person per stay. Electric heating according to meter reading (8 kwh/day included).

4.5/5Gite bien équipé et très propre, à l'étage dans une ancienne grange aménagée aux murs d'épaisseur respectable. Au delà de 2 personnes (ce qui était notre cas), savoir que tous les lits sont dans le même espace. Nuits très silencieuses, loin de tout trafic routier.
Pour ceux qui prévoient de rayonner autour de Châtillon, situation excellente, par contre il faut vite prévoir une heure ou plus de trajet en voiture pour relier les plus grandes villes voisines (Auxerre, Langres, Dijon). D'une manière générale, beaucoup de ballades à faire à pied dans la région, les rencontres avec la faune locale ne seront pas rares.
Et pour ceux qui veulent profiter de la richesse viticole de la Bourgogne, les propriétaires du gite sont aussi producteurs (principalement de Crémant de Bourgogne). Nous n'étions pas fan avant, mais nous avons été convaincus! Et pas besoin de conduire pour retourner au gite, la visite et la dégustation sont sur place;;;

4.8/5Very welcoming hosts, well-equipoed gite. The grape harvest was in progress which was most interesting but did mean that the outside space was busy with vehicles at times. But we expected this. The gite would benefit from private and sunny outside space.
