5/5We were lucky enough to be able to stay in the gite for 3 weeks this August. It is a rustic, country house in the traditional Burgundian style with lovely stone walls and floors. Our dog Louis had a brilliant time chasing the lizards in the garden!
Elisabeth was wonderful; very welcoming and super responsive when we had questions.
There is still some renovation work to be completed (such as the installation of radiators and improvements to the terrace downstairs) but this did not bother us or affect our stay at all. They are also creating a new window in the kitchen/living area which is a great idea and will really make the most of the gorgeous view.
The kitchen is brand new and extremely well equipped; with a big fridge freezer, oven and microwave, as well as all the crockery, pans and cooking utensils you could need. The large balcony is a perfect spot for having a glass of wine, eating dinner and sunbathing!
The downstairs bedroom is very large with a super comfy bed. My friends enjoyed staying in the upstairs mezzanine bedroom (which had 3 beds) when they visited.
The view from the kitchen and the balcony is absolutely stunning. We loved sitting on the balcony and watching the hot air balloons in the evening.
We really enjoyed walking around the little village of Saint Romain le Haut and exploring the area. There are lots of great hiking trails and walks to do.
Hopefully we will return soon!

2.8/5Ce n’était pas ce que nous attendons. La terrasse devant notre chambre était un chantier et inutilisable. Il y avait des radiateurs qui attendaient d’être installés dans quelques pièces, l’une des chaises sur l’autre terrasse était cassée. Le frigo a mal fonctionné pendant 36 heures et nous avons dû jeter de la glace et de la viande. La seule télé était difficile à accéder. Pour être plus positif, il y a une vue formidable sur la vallée depuis la terrasse supérieure, la chambre au sous-sol était bien fraîche dans la chaleur qu’il faisait. La cuisinière était bonne.

Bonjour Monsieur Comaish Paul.
Nous sommes vraiment désolés, que notre logement ne vous ai pas convenu. Effectivement, des travaux d'amélioration ont été entrepris l'année dernière (cuisine entièrement refaite, gros électroménagers neufs) et cette année c'est le système de chauffage, enduits extérieur qui sont en cour,... Le gite a été fermé jusqu'en juin, les travaux n'ont pas pu être achevé pour l'ouverture, mais quand vous dites terrasse inutilisable, je pense que vous exagérez un peu.
Les radiateurs dans la chambre et salle de bain non installés, vu la canicule ils n'étaient pas nécessaires
Le Frigo, celui ci faisait trop de froid à votre goût, nous sommes venus le baisser, un peu trop, nous sommes revenus remettre la température initiale 2 à 4 °.
La chaise, oui elle était cassée à votre départ, nous avons du la changer pour nos clients suivants.
La télévision est dans un salon cosy, ce qui correspond tout a fait avec le style de la maison.
Accueil 3/5?, je pense avoir répondu avec amabilité et au mieux, le plus rapidement possible à vos nombreux appels et SMS lors de votre séjour.
Aux regrets que la maison n'ai pas été soit pas à votre convenance.
