Passionate about history, this extraordinary gîte is made for you! Located in the village of Ardes and completely renovated with respect for the place, this cottage is a true splendor of the past! You can admire the floors, which are several hundred years old, the magnificent 18th century staff ceiling and finally the wooden staircase of the tower dating from the Middle Ages! Village house, it consists of a spacious living room with a monumental old fireplace (which is not in use) and a kitchen area, a bedroom with a 160 bed (or two 80 beds), a bathroom and an independent wc. At the back, you will have access to a charming little outdoor space overlooking the courtyard. Free public parking in the immediate vicinity. WIRELESS. Heating included. Beds made on arrival and towels provided. Washing machine on request. La maison au décor "historique et romantique" jongle avec espaces et optimisation avisées.

Fascinating historical property
5/5This is a fascinating property, full of history and many original features. We were made very welcome by the owner who helped to make sure we enjoyed our stay. It is in a great location to explore the region, which we know well, and local facilities are on the doorstep, including a mini-supermarket, an excellent butcher, and a great bar/restaurant. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

4/5Nous avons passé une très bonne petite semaine (5 jours) dans la maison du centaure à Ardes sur Gouze. Le gîte est constitué de deux grandes pièces dans une maison du XVIIème siècle, le confort est un peu différent de ce qu'on pourrait attendre d'un gîte plus classique mais nous avons finalement bien apprécié l'ambiance générale que dégageait cette maison. Nous avons pu apprécier le charme de la région du Cézalier et les conseils de nôtre hôtesse qui nous en a indiqué les lieux plus typiques.
