For nature lovers in need of wide open spaces, the guidebook « French Nature Park holidays » offers a selection of 300 Panda gîtes approved by the WWF and located in 31 regional and 3 national nature parks, as well as in a few remarkable natural sites.
Special amenities :
- In each Panda gîte, you'll find an information kit that includes: guidebooks for identifying the local flora and fauna,
- several pairs of binoculars,
- documentation and maps of the regional or national nature park,
- topographical maps of the site and region,
- informative brochures on the local flora and fauna, as well as places of natural interest.
In compliance with a convention signed with the WWF and the particular nature parks on which the gîtes are located, owners of Panda gîtes undertake to preserve their properties' remarkable natural treasures and to work to protect the surrounding area. In addition, the owners must provide their guests with information on walking and nature watching possibilities in the region, including trails, nature reserves and protected sites.
